The cabinet bed accommodates most standard queen-size mattresses (8-12 inches thick, 60-90 lb, 60 x 80 inches) without the need for a box spring. Brushed Nickel hardware gives the pull-down cabinet bed a sleek and modern look, and a mattress strap is included for extra security.
The dual-mount wall bed mechanism attaches to both the floor and wall, ensuring ease of assembly as well as maximum stability and durability. With a minimum ceiling height of 88 inches and an open bed that extends 91.2 inches from the wall, this queen-size wall bed is designed for versatility and practicality.
Engineered with a durable steel frame and a laminated engineered wood cabinet, the Bestar Claremont Murphy Bed has a maximum weight capacity of 1000 pounds, including the mattress. The adjustable leg levelers provide additional stability and ensure a level surface.
For ease of use, the hide-away bed simply requires pulling on the handles and flipping the support leg down onto the floor. When planning your space, allow for a clearance of 30 to 36 inches around the open bed to make getting in and out easier.
To ensure a safe installation, the wall bed must be attached to the wall and floor structure by a professional or qualified person. Two people are required for assembly, which involves attachment to wood studs or masonry, removal of the baseboard, and drilling into the floor (if disassembly is required, holes may be covered with baseboards 0.5 inches or thicker). All necessary hardware is included.
This North American-made Murphy bed is backed by a 10-Year Manufacturer's Warranty and is not recommended for use by children or pets under 50 pounds (22.7 kg).
